The centrepiece of the project is the handsome Edwardian-style building at 268 FIRST AVENUE which had originally been built in 1918 as the Ottawa Ladies College and subsequently was home to Carleton College, the predecessor to Carleton University. ROUTEBURN was honoured with a City of Ottawa Heritage Conservation award for the sensitive renovation and adaptive re-use of this remarkable building into 17 "spacious and gracious" condominium apartments ranging in size up to 4000sf.
